Meet the Doctors
Dr. Tasneem Majid
Dr. Tasneem Majid knew she wanted to work with children from an early age. She always says, “Children’s innocence is refreshing, and their inquisitive minds are such a joy to be around.” Her father, a radiologist, was her inspiration to enter into the medical profession as well. She was born in India and graduated from one of the top medical schools in the country, Osmania University, with distinction. Upon completing her medical education, she moved to New York where she was offered training positions in multiple hospitals and programs but ultimately settled on Brooklyn Hospital where she received her specialty training in Pediatrics. She went on to complete her Critical Care Fellowship at UMDNJ, where she took care of the sickest babies and children. After completing her training there, she went on to practice in the New Jersey area, and soon after relocated to Indianapolis, IN with her family, starting a medical practice with her husband, Dr. Mohammed Majid. She is the backbone of the office and makes sure everything runs smoothly. Outside of work, Dr. T (as she is lovingly referred to in the office) enjoys spending time with her three children and family. She loves to cook and bake and is always experimenting with new recipes. She also loves to garden and has multiple plants in her backyard that she uses in her everyday cooking. Be sure to ask her about the new vegetables she has growing at home!

Dr. Adil Majid
Dr. Adil Majid was born in Brooklyn, NY but grew up near downtown Indianapolis. He went to a local, private Islamic high school (MTI School of Knowledge) where he graduated as the Valedictorian. He then went on to attend IUPUI on scholarship, graduating with Honors while earning a degree in Biology. He attended the Indiana University School of Dentistry from 2012 to 2016 and received extra training at the Montefiore Health System in the Bronx, NY to expand his knowledge and offer a wider range of services to his patients. He has always been committed to growth and excellence, and continues to take courses to ensure that his patients receive the best possible care. Outside of the office, Dr. Majid enjoys being an active participant in his local community, often volunteering his time. He is a big sports fan, and a long-time supporter of the Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts. He loves hosting game nights where family and friends can enjoy time together, unplugged. He also is an active foodie, so if you have any restaurant recommendations, please let him know! (He insisted that we add that line. 😑 ) He always says that high school is when he knew he wanted to be a dentist, after he had a root canal done. As a matter of fact, he has been on the other side of the chair multiple times to have dental work done, including root canals, extractions, crowns, and implants. He always says that experience is important, because it helped him understand what patients think and feel during a procedure, which helps him be more understanding of patients’ situations.

Dr. Mohammed Majid
Dr. Mohammed Majid was born in Hyderabad, India. After completing his BS in Agricultural Sciences from APAU University, he was encouraged to study medicine by his parents and older brothers. After graduating from medical school in 1984, he moved to New York and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine in 1992 from The Brooklyn Hospital. He then went on to receive further Fellowship training in Geriatric Medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center in 1994. He moved to Indianapolis in 1994 and started a private medical practice with his wife, Dr. Tasneem Majid (Pediatrician), called Greenwood Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. They continued to operate under this name until the recent addition of dental services to the office, prompting the name switch to MedDent. Some of Dr. Majid’s favorite aspects of medicine include serving as an Indiana State disability examiner (verifying claims of disability) and a provider of Opioid addiction management since 2008. “The opioid crisis continues to grow in America, and addressing that problem needs to be a priority,” says Dr. Majid. He received training in opioid addiction therapy over 10 years ago and enjoys the impact his work can make in the lives of affected individuals and families. “It’s so heartwarming to hear patients say they feel like they have their lives back, and things like ‘Doc, you saved my life’.” Outside of the office, Dr. Majid loves working with his hands and taking on different projects around the house as well as in Real Estate. He is the President and founding member of a number of community service organizations. He loves spending time with his family and traveling, pre-pandemic. He also likes animals, be sure to ask about his chickens next time you meet him!
